1 What You'll Do

  • Plan and implement user research plans in coordination with the engineering, product and design (EPD) teams and respective stakeholders
  • Utilize both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to gain a comprehensive understanding of user needs and preferences. Lead and conduct regular, in-depth user research using a variety of methods, including focus group discussions, surveys, usability testing, and in-depth interviews.
  • Identify and create key user personas that define the problems our users face and help us prioritize the value of our product to them. Use these personas to gain a deeper understanding of our users' needs, behaviors, and preferences, and to ensure that our product is designed to meet those needs.
  • Analyze user insights and translate them into actionable recommendations for product features. Present research findings and use them to provide specific and practical suggestions that can enhance the user experience and improve product performance.
  • Manage our insights database and documentation. Drive the consolidation of insights across primary research and secondary channels, such as sales, customer service queries, and in-product surveys, to create a cohesive picture of our customers. Work closely with product and growth teams to ensure that the insights are easily searchable and referenceable, and that they inform product strategy and decision-making. Continuously monitor and update the insights database and documentation to ensure that they remain accurate, relevant, and actionable.
  • Advocate for the user throughout the product development process.
  • Base decision-making process on professionalism, ethics and integrity.

2 Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, human-computer interaction, or user experience design.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting user research for digital products and services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using research tools and methods, such as surveys, interviews, usability testing, and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Experience conducting multicultural research and working with users from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Knowledgeable in UX research and analytics tools such as SurveyMonkey, Maze, HotJar, Google Analytics, among others.
